New explorer is just the ticket

The new weekly explorer ticket gives anyone unlimited travel on the Hertfordshire bus network for a whole week for only £30.

Intalink (a partnership between Hertfordshire County Council and train and bus operators) are now offering a further way to save on your trips aboard a Hertfordshire bus. The weekly Explorer can be purchased on buses for £30 (£20 for a student with a Hertfordshire SaverCard) and gives a person unlimited travel for seven days.

Terry Douris, Cabinet Member for Highways, said: “The new weekly Explorer ticket offers a cheap, reliable way for people to travel right across the county. Not only does it provide excellent value for money, but we hope it will get people out of their cars, which will reduce congestion on our roads.”

You can buy your Explorer ticket on the first bus you travel on at any time of day. Most buses will have a sticker in the window to show that Explorer is issued and accepted on the bus, however, if you are unsure please ask the driver.

Still available is the already popular daily Explorer ticket which costs £12.50 and will allow any group of up to four people to travel all day on the Intalink network. A £8.50 ticket is also available for one person along with the £4.25 ticket for a student with a Hertfordshire SaverCard.
